Details

Alex Pretti was an intensive care nurse for the US Department of Veterans Affair. He was legally carrying a firearm, which had been removed, prior to being shot while kneeling and then shot further while on the ground by ICE agents.

Trump: Referred to Pretti as "the gunman" and amplified a post calling Pretti a domestic terrorist.

Kristi Noem (DHS Secretary): “This looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and to kill law enforcement.”

Stephen Miller (Whiteh House senior advisor): “A would-be assassin tried to murder federal law enforcement and the official Democrat account sides with the terrorists.”

Greg Bovino (Border Partol commander-at-large): "“This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement."
