Details

Trump was asked if he would condemn David Duke and other white supremacists. Trump deflected, saying, "I knows about David Duke, I know nothing about white supremacists." Back in 2000, Trump cited David Duke as one of the reasons he left the Reform Party.

After facing public uproar, Trump completely backtracked one week later stating, "David Duke is a bad person, who I disavowed on numerous occasions over the years."
