Days before becoming president, Trump announced on social media that he had launched a cryptocurrency, $TRUMP. Cryptocurrencies are anonymous and unregulated, so any big business or foreign government can use the coin to "donate" to Trump. By mid-February, Trump's companies owned nearly $3B in $TRUMP and generated an additional $100M in trading fees.
