The social media post also claimed Zelenskyy refused to have elections and was "very low in Ukranian polls". Later that day, Trump claimed Zelenskyy's approval rating was just 4%.

The Ukrainian Constitution forbids holding elections during martial law, which has been in effect since the Russian invasion started. Even Zelenskyy's main political opponents stated that the war must end before an election could be held.

No poll placed Zelenskyy's approval rating at 4%. Though it dropped since the early days of the invasion, his approval has remained above 50%.
